We have had several days of beautiful sunny weather and we can't believe tomorrow will be our last day in Gloucester, MA. The week has gone by very quickly. Tuesday evening we went to Stage Fort, where we took the picture below and watched the sailboats and fishing boats coming in and out of Gloucester harbour.
Yesterday, we took the train into Boston and spent most of the day at the Museum of Science. The train was delayed coming back up to Rockport, during the 2 hour train ride it gave me the chance to contact the travel agent about our flights to China! Our reservations are set for us to depart on August 15th and return on August 30th! Our first flight from Buffalo to Newark only has a 50 minute layover, I am very nervous about missing our flight to Beijing. Other options are more expensive and we are already maxed out with this trip, so that leaves me to pray that we will get on the plane to Beijing without incident!
Tomorrow is Ethan's 1st birthday. We are sad that we won't be celebrating it with him, but if all goes well we will be in China in a couple of weeks. I thought about bringing party hats and candles, if I could locate a cake we could have a little party!
