Preparing for Travel

We are home now and working hard to get ready for this trip. Only one week left. Today we had our travel conference call with the adoption agency founders Josh and Lily. They reminded us not to be 'ugly Americans' and then gave everyone a chance to ask questions. I didn't mention that I have Canada T-shirts in our suitcase, they will get the blame for our unruly children!

My friend Kim also did some kind of internet magic to get us seats on the flights and continental airlines one pass numbers so we might accumulate enough miles to take a vacation after this! She is also helping to arrange rides for us to Buffalo and she wanted to have a toddler shower for Ethan but we are leaving so quickly that we ran out of time. Thanks Kim. We will hopefully have some nice fall weather where we can invite everyone over for a visit, I will keep you posted.

We also received an itinerary of our trip, here is how it will hopefully play out:

8/15- fly from Buffalo to Newark to Beijing
8/17 & 8/18 - tour Beijing (hopefully see the Great Wall and other neat sites)
8/19 & 8/20 - fly to Nanjing, Jiangsu and meet Ethan in the morning
8/21 - 8/24 - do paperwork and touring in Nanjing
8/25 - fly to Guangzhou (shop, shop, shop)
8/28 & 8/29- US consulate appointments
8/30 - fly to Beijing, then Newark, then Buffalo, come in at 10:38pm
